Trend #1 – Color Trim
With the improving economies, designers are adding vibrancy to their dresses. You will seeing dresses with a lot of colors and patterns. Ivory, peachy, very light pink are some of the most important color trends when it comes to wedding gowns. However, if you are the daring type, you have the option to go for black or red.
Trend # 2 – Ruffles and Flowers
Trend # 3 – Separates
The short dress has become an important option for brides nowadays. Melissa Sweet’s Reverie collection gives brides the easy option of separates with a delicate lace blouse paired with a organza mini-skirt.
Trend # 4 – Trumpet Silhouettes
A modified mermaid silhouette that flares just above the knee.
Trend # 5 – Tulle/ Lace
Tulle creates a softer look and tones down the luster of high-gloss satin and silk. A lot of designers used this fabric in their 2011 collection and is most pronounced in Christos’ spring 2011 collection.
Lace is still very much on-trend for the 2011 wedding gowns. Both Allure Bridals and Badgley Mischka Bride both feature some lace stunners in the 2011 collection.

The vintage-look continue to be big. We will be seeing a lot of vintage and retro-inspired with a modern twist dresses.
