Pattern on the arms of the sunglasses matches the coat.
There are a lot of limitations in what you can wear when you are pregnant. This coat was custom made last winter when I was still pregnant with baby M. As my bump was very big, I needed a coat that could keep us warm. I remember people were making fun of me because I looked so bulky with the coat on me. I literally looked like a spider – big round body with skinny limbs. Little do they know, I was actually very fashion forward (haha…) as big, bulky, sculptural coats took the runways by storm for Fall/ Winter 2013.
I have put together a few styling tips on how to wear an oversized coat:
- Since the coat is already the center of attention of your outfit, you should keep the rest of your outfit as simple and minimal as possible.
- It is always good to balance out the bulk on top with slim bottoms such as tights, skinny or super tailored pants.
- Small bags. A clutch or a small handheld purse would be ideal. Try to avoid bags that are too bulky.
